What happens if I want to bill customers once I've got a signed contract?
There is an option to use Salesforce billing to generate invoices based on the billing period for a specific contract. For example, send out the invoice at the beginning of the month and monitor the payment status until the 15th of the current month. We can then make charges for the late payments if necessary.
Can I use DocuSign?
Yes, DocuSign can be used to accept the quote and you can sign the quote document through an email or web based service. There are plenty of possibilities in utilising this product to sign the contract or confirm the invoice.
Can you change the conditions of the contract once its lasting?
Changing the conditions of the contract is called an amendment. Amending the contract will generate a new quote and thus an opportunity to reflect that in the forecasting.
Does the pricing have to stay in Salesforce - can it live in ERP for example?
No, the pricing does not have to stay in Salesforce. We can also utilise Salesforce Connect to integrate the product catalogue from SAP which is a common use case.
